Ultima IX Ascension - version 1.07 [Cheats]

Open the file "default.kmp" in Notepad and find the following
line:

[Cheat Commands]
Below this line, you can now bind these cheats to keys, then press
them in the game (for example, type "alt+shift+i=toggle_avatar_invulnerable",
then press ALT+SHIFT+I while in the game for invulnerability.):

toggle_avatar_invulnerable - Invulnerability
toggle_avatar_fly - Avatar has flying ability
pass_one_hour - Go forward one hour
unpass_one_hour - Go back one hour
sunrise_sunset - Makes sun rise/set
pass_one_minute - Go one minute forward
unpass_one_minute - Go one minute backwards
toggle_sun - Brings the sun
toggle_wind - Brings wind
toggle_storms - Brings storms
toggle_avatar_fast - Fast avatar

You can also add the following to the default.kmp file when you
update to version 1.07 or higher:

recharge_mana
fill_spellbook
spells_0-2
spells_3-5
spells_6-8

Monsters Ignore You
-------------------
Just open up the backpack (pressing B). Monsters seem to ignore
you when you have the backpack open. You can hack and slash at
them as you wish then. In order not to let the backpack obstruct
your view, you could drag it to the edge of the screen.

Note:From Ascension Designers:

Using the cheats can cause certain parts of the game to "break". For
example, using the fly cheat can cause the player to possibly fly over
crucial trigger areas and flag-setting areas, causing triggers to be broken
and some parts of the story to not progress. The invulnerability cheat
will also have a similiar effect on the game. You may find yourself
loading a savegame from much earlier because a crucial trigger or flag
was not set off at the appropriate place in the game.

-----------------
-----------------
Older Cheat mode:
-----------------
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file;
create a backup copy of the file before proceeding.
Use a text editor to edit the "default.kmp" file in
the game directory. Add the following lines below
the "[Cheat Commands]" heading:

alt+shift+a = toggle_avatar_invulnerable
alt+shift+b = pass_one_hour
alt+shift+c = unpass_one_hour
alt+shift+d = sunrise_sunset
alt+shift+e = pass_one_minute
alt+shift+f = unpass_one_minute
alt+shift+g = toggle_sun

alt+shift+i = toggle_storms
alt+shift+j = toggle_avatar_fast
alt+shift+k = toggle_avatar_fly
alt+shift+l = toggle_avatar_fly
alt+shift+i = toggle_avatar_invulnerable

Then, press one of the following keys during game play
to activate the corresponding cheat function.

bound to any desired key combination in the "default.kmp"
file as described above.

recharge_mana
fill_spellbook
spells_0-2
spells_3-5
spells_6-8

Hidden teleporters:
-------------------
Locate the fence without a gate behind the Avatar's
house. Climb on the nearby training dummy and jump
over the fence. Find the level hidden near a bush by
the large tree. Pull the lever to find teleporters
that will equip your character with armor and allow
travel to various places in Britannia. Note: You can
not return by teleporter once you leave.

Invisible to monsters:
----------------------
Press B to open your backpack and attack monsters.
They will ignore you as long as the backpack remains
open.

-----
Hints
-----

Before you leave Britain, make sure you search the hedge
maze beside Lord British's castle. The flaming sword in
the center of it will come in handy in the Despise dungeon.

The game is full of visual hints and clues. If you're in a
room with archery targets and a dummy full of arrows, your
bow is probably part of the solution to your immediate
problem.

Hold on to your bags! Containers of any kind are hard to
come by in the game, and you need them to extend your
inventory. Never, never sell or drop a bag.
